A Royal Event Bridal Shower

Sunday, October 2nd, 2011

I’ng received a few messages lately asking for several bridal shower creativity, so when the lovely Vanessa at Alchemy Fine Events said she had a bridal shower your woman recently designed and would love to share, it turned out just so perfect! A lot of yummy and very ideas from their inventive shower. Paula Luna of Luna Photograph photographed the event.

A lttle bit about the inspiration powering the day, Prince Captivating came into mind if we thought about the unique groom-to-be, so only a Royal Affair was right for this luxurious bridal bathe. Inspired by the foundation of the gorgeous marine view, shades involving blues ranging from cobalt and also aqua to teal had been blended with cozy amber glassware, gold and silver coins for a truly opulent effect.

The Tablescape Uric acid glistened in the sunlight hanging off of tiered cupcake stands that have been used in lieu of decorative accents. Each cupcake tier was topped of which has a single white mom. Flower balls created out of clusters of numerous flowers including crawl mums, garden tulips, lisianthus and daisies were shown on tall elegant glass vases. For additional interest and warmth thriving prairie stems were grouped with spider mums in teal Portuguese glasses and amber bud vases, while the Queen’s noble ceramic horses was guard on each end. To top off the amount of luxury, oversized cobalt crystal diamonds were scattered atop the stand.

Handmade Nepalese navy, teal as well as gold printed papers were lined using gold and aqua lace to create custom sportsmen and napkin bands for each place setting even though name tags in the same custom shape as the invitation were linked onto the backs of each chair.

The Mimosa Tavern Buckets of bubbly and sparkling French sodas were served available blown blue bubbly flutes accompanied by a range of juices such as blueberry (to check the party palette), pomegranate, and vintage orange.

The Sweet Bar Sweet confections within shades of blues accented with gold, sterling silver and white danced on top of vintage mirrored teeth whitening trays, lead cut crystal chocolate dishes and platinum risers. Scrumptious vanilla meal pops were made with water frosting and lead with candy pearl nuggets alongside aqua tinted blueberry cake springs with vanilla frosting and aqua sprinkles. Being a fun dessert centerpiece we created a big cupcake topped with the initials of the bride-to-be, King Charming had in no way looked so sweet!

I will be so excited to share with you this gorgeous marriage ceremony from the one and only Elizabeth Messina. Her photos tend to be beautiful and eternal. If you don’t read her blog, Kiss the Groom, you really should. She shares the most beautiful photographs and sweet poetry. Ok, back to today’ersus wedding! The wedding came about at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion inside downtown Los Angeles. From Elizabeth, I love this wedding. Bodee + Patrick are usually such a sweet pair and their style would be a perfect mix of modern-day and classic. Bodee wore the most stunning couple of hot pink dior pumping systems.

I could not agree more about her shoes! And love Patrick’s socks.

Fabulous white shoes are Christian Dior and Bodee’s dress is by Ulla Maija. How glamourous are they?!

From Bodee, I loved your Dorothy Chandler Pavilion….the gorgeous chandeliers….environmentally friendly carpeting, gold decorations.. the fountains outside. It turned out all so attractive! My theme had been yellow/green springtime. I wanted a happy, bright wedding using a mix of glamour & elegance.

My personal favorite memory was the particular reveal. Elizabeth brought my husband over to see me. His eye were closed. I had been so nervous. He or she opened his sight and there I was. All of us embraced, kissed, cried…and chatted such intimate words to each other. Elizabeth seized those private moments…and i’m eternally grateful to her.

The gorgeous bouquet and also florals were done by Commerce Flowers. Hair & make-up by Karen from Kelly Zhang Makeup.

I love every one of the special moments which Elizabeth captures.

Just stunning photos. Thanks so much Elizabeth with regard to sharing your work around today. And congrats to Bodee + Patrick. Very much happiness to you equally!

Today, I thought I’d share some of my personal current favorite wedding invitations + save the dates I’ve seen in recent years weeks. There are so many manufacturers out there creating actually unique invitations pertaining to couples – and there can also be lots of studios which may have amazing collections that could be customized to your liking.

The first group are from MaeMae paperiee throughout Los Angeles. This series is called Jasper and is off their 2010 Collection. The good thing about it is that everything can be customized for your choice of colors and also minimal design alterations are allowed. Pieces can be printed flat or perhaps letterpressed. So great for couples that want custom cards, but maybe don’big t have the budget for all of them.

Below is a custom-made Bridal Shower invitation MaeMae created for a backyard bridesmaid shower in Los angeles. I love the quiet colors and nest illustration.

Next up is really a favorite illustrator regarding mine whose operate I’ve featured a lot of times here in Green Wedding Shoes or boots, Anna Bond of Rifle Paper Company. From Anna, Joe & Alison were married at a national park within Ohio and their invites set was encouraged by their location and love of gig & old-fashioned WPA posters. The main invite was a fold out and about poster and we also created a vintage park manual inspired booklet that included a note from your couple, wedding data, a map, and a tear away RSVP postcard around the last page. The actual booklet was imprinted and then bound along with stitched red thread. So much love and detail put into this kind of!

Below is a Bahamas letterpress invite designed by the talented groom, Scott Peiffer, and produced at Studio burning down. I love the uniqueness of each one card. So many different smoothness and graphics – you can tell a lot of believed and love proceeded to go into this.

As well as last, but not minimum, some amazing example work by Anne Benjamin associated with Mok Duk. Somewhere between Chicago & Pittsburgh, two paths crossed. This first letterpressed invite celebrates the actual couple’s memorable past and bright future to come.

This specific second screen imprinted invitation incorporates the actual couple’s love for bicycling and the outdoors as well as the Martial arts styles & Crafts aesthetic with the lodge and amphitheater where the wedding party took place.

One. Shannon + Scott

We were married September 21, 2009 among our closest family and friends at my grandparents ranch. Our wedding ended up being perfection, just the excellent weather, wonderful people, and a whole few dancing to enjoy our love. We all met back in ’07 through mutual friends and became the state couple a few months after meeting and wedded a little over a year right after! There was nothing having us back via committing our love and lives to each other. We felt (and also feel) so blessed to call one other partner, lover, and finest friend. Our partnership is fun, unbelievably silly, and filled with love. We help to make everything a game – through who can guess correct answers, who can run faster up the stairs, really anything and everything is changed into a competition. It’s genuine fun, however, Scott swears he will always acquire regardless of how hard I attempt. Scott is an avid player and is extremely good with the game. I am soon to graduate university and aspire to be employed in design.

Our dream shoot would be a jerk to Scott’s passion for golf and my personal passion for all things old-fashioned. It would be so great to have a shoot featuring the sport that is so close to my husband’s heart. He adores the history and old-style golfers had in those days. It would be so special to be able to us to have photographs taken of us within our first year of relationship, to capture this new and wonderful journey we are upon.

Our dream blast would take place at a rustic and historical golf course with creatively stunning holes along with great architectural properties. It would have a vintage European feel with classic golf attire, knickers, and equipment. Old school country club style implanted with dress in the Kentucky derby too. Scott might wear old knickers, argyle socks along with shirt, along with a head wear of the period. I’d personally be featured in a very vintage style gown, giving a jerk to the time, in addition to that style of comprise and a fantastic derby cap.

2. Nikki + Bryan

I am an extrovert and our loving husband, a great introvert. But we work. I’meters over the top, and he reigns us in. I think of the tips, and he puts these in action. He’s your brains, I’m the actual entertainment. We battle, we laugh so we have two nuts dogs that hand mirror our personalities (yes people really do mimic their pets!). I love my husband to passing away but he will Not necessarily smile for photographs. I either have to use a new zoom lens to catch your pet off guard, or make use of a nipple nip or tickling to get him or her to smile. But our own wedding day? All laughs. Our photographer was amazed!

How would you want your really like story told?: My aspiration photo shoot would be of us doing some retro camping. I love hiking, and always tell my husband stories of the way you used to wake up to my dad frying ova on the tailgate. I adore looking at photos associated with my parents outdoor camping when they were newlyweds. I’d love to recreate something like that. I’ve always been a big fan regarding JCrew’s location launches. Simple and earthy. Redwing shoes or boots and a 5 o’time shadow. That’s exactly how my husband looks best!

3. Caitlin + Simon

Simon and I fulfilled while working for Facing outward Bound in Boston. He was running a training course for long term instructors and I was a trainee. Initially, it was just a teacher/student crush… That was around four years ago. There is very little about our relationship that has been handy. We have done important stints apart and our relationship has spanned continents. We spend more time inside airplanes than we all do in our home, that is in Sydney, Quarterly report. We work at ocean. We live in Bermuda. Our kids is in the states. Just about all signs have pointed to our relationship not working … We’re getting married this year. It’s, potentially, a marriage of difficulty. We are th

rilled.

My dream photo shoot would focus on the activities we both enjoy that have held our relationship powerful and have outweighed the hurdles. Primarily surfing along with sailing. Ideally, I would love a Chitty Chitty Boom Bang-style beach picnic using a classic bathing camping tent, classy longboards and/or a classic Chris Craft motor launch (I’m flexible, a photo would suffice). Chitty Chitty Beat Bang doesn’t hold significant meaning to us, but we both usually see ourselves with the music stuck in our brain!!

4. Amanda + Daniel

We met on the track and field team at Shippensburg School. I was a freshman and he was a elderly. I never also knew he existed – he was a distance freak, and I stuck to the field situations. Our paths just never crossed, even though we had arrived on the same team. The 1st time meeting him personally was a “well hel-LO and also where have you been all of my life?!”Instant appeal. And like I said before, When i first saw him at a meet. AND he ended up being reading Harry Potter! Monitor and Harry Potter are generally two of my favorite issues – obviously this one is often a keeper! Apparently, he knew who I became for quite a while, but thought I was “out of his league” so he didn’to even try! Foolish :)

We are a random, weird, fun-loving, never serious, sarcastic couple. We like to a good time, track & industry, and most importantly each other. We were made for each other. Today we are living in Shippensburg, PA while I complete my senior 12 months at Shippensburg University. I’m on the track staff and he is an asst coach there. His dream is to be a new Division I cross-country coach, and I’lmost all follow him anywhere so he can pursue that dream. I’d love to be a trainer. As long as we are jointly and it’s hot outside! We are, however, EXTREMELY anxious to depart PA. We are set for a change. California would be a dream! :)

Congrats to our Aspiration Love Shoot Winners!

My dream picture shoot would pinpoint the activities we both appreciate that have kept each of our relationship strong and have outweighed the obstacles. Largely surfing and sailing. Ideally, I would really like a Chitty Chitty Bang Bang-style beach front picnic with a vintage bathing tent, stylish longboards and/or a classic Chris Create motor launch (I’mirielle flexible, a picture might suffice). Chitty Chitty Bang Bang doesn’t hold significant meaning to us, yet we both often find ourself with the song caught up in our head!! A Vintage Love Story

Thursday, June 30th, 2011

I have such a special treat for you guys today. A Vintage Adore Story. The idea principal purpose is by Wedding Coordinator Pam Without shoes. She wanted to provide a couple’s story one’s and I thought the thought + outcome was so special. Such a perfect story to share for Valentine’s Week. We took pictures on a day that it snowed heavily and also was 17 degrees outside. The gorgeous snowfall really set the mood for the pictures. Here will be the sweet story with their relationship in pictures captured by the talented Katie Stoops.

I purchased my Tahari dress off of the rack at Head of the family and Taylor, before I used to be really even positively looking for one. Originally I held in it as my “back-up dress,” thinking I’d return it when or when I discovered something I loved better. But since those 3 months with the “return window” ticked by I found myself liking it a lot more, and making small effort to find additional dresses. In the end, this kind of dress just felt right. It best suited my personality, that suited our place, it suited groom, and it more than suited our budget!
